Who's the Baketard?

Why Baketard? Love to cook, hate to bake. Despite having gone to cooking school and working in some top kitchens, I never learned the baking side of things. I'm building my baking and photography skills, while sharing recipes that rock my world in the mean time.

I am obsessed with cooking. I have a slight cookbook fetish ("hoarding" is such an ugly word), and I am fortunate enough to have a job that takes me all over the world where I can find books not readily available in the U.S. I'm a culinary school graduate, have spent some time staging in well known Northwest destination restaurants during my spare time, and have taken cooking classes everywhere I can find them.

Think of me as a clumsy recipe curator with control-issues and this blog as my virtual recipe box. I wont post any recipes on here I don't deem to be complete "keepers" I'd readily make again for friends at a dinner party. Fair warning: Some recipes are in metric and others are in standard measurements. Oh, and I have a potty mouth. You should probably know this about me if you're reading this blog.
